The Pagoda tree in Goejeong-dong, 14.6m high and 6.4m round, is rooted at the center of the town and is estimated to be more than 600 years old. Since there is a stream running near the root of the tree, many women in the village carried their clothes above their heads and then washed them in the stream. The place is still used as clothes-washing place in the city, where the villagers build close bonds with each other.
