Basing Situation

History

    • Neungju (Iburi-gun), Hwasun (Yeomi-hyeon) and Dongbok (Dubuji-hyeon) in the Unified Silla Kingdom / Neungseong-hyeon, Hwasun-hyeon and Dongbok-hyeon Hwasun, Seonghyeon in the Goryeo Dynasty

    • Hwasun, Seonghyeon and Dongbuk, then Neunseong-hyeon, was promoted to Neungju-mok (1632)

    • Renamed as Hwasun-gun, Neungju-gun and Dongbok-gun according to the reshuffle of the administrative districts (1895)

    • Unification of 3 guns into Hwasun-gun (1914), Composition of 13 myeons (1932)

    • Promotion of Hwasun-gun to Hwasun-eup (1963)
